Everyth wrote on the board with her wand, slowly so not to make mistakes. It was a typical classroom, but she kept the windows wide open for air and kept the lights off. There was a single group of four candles in the middle of the room, with a wooden mask of Comedy and Tragedy seemingly floating above them. She had always been a real drama freak, and hoped that this year there would be as school play. She wrote slowly on the board, but made it glow with magic, so that her students could see it.
Good Morning! Since you are my only class of students, we will be covering things step by step like you would in any other class.
Today we will work on Meditating. Please write the following down:
Meditation is the art of emptying your mind and imagination. It refreshes your body, mind, and soul. To do it, you must first relax your body, then empty your mind, then imagine whatever you wish.
But don't try this just yet! Wait until everyone is in the classroom. Before you do anything else, doodle in your notebook.
She smiled and stepped back from the board, admiring her handiwork. She was glad to be a teacher at her home away form home. She turned back around and walked up to the door into the classroom. She opened it, and allowed the students to file in, saying hello to everyone in a singsong voice. She furrowed her eyebrows, realizing there were only three students. She took a deep breath, trying to relax herself, and brought herself to the front of her class.
"Good morning, you three," she said, smiling the best she could. "Please take note of what is on the board and follow directions. Please close your notebook when you're done doodling." She grinned and sat down cross-legged next to the candles, gazing into the flames...

Grace walked in the classroom cautiously, especially around the candles. Then her eyes drifted to the chalkboard's glowing text. Reading while walking, she tripped over something and landed face down into a pillow. Thank you pillow. She got back up and shook her well-combed hair out of her eyes. Now watching the floor, she smoothed her hair down and sat on once of the pillows. Wait, Before you do anything else... Wouldn't that mean before you sat? Or even before you walked in? Grace was over thinking things, as usual. Before she kept thinking, she stood up, bent down, took out a piece of parchment and a wooden board from her canvas bag, and started doodling with her quill. Wait, it didn't have any ink! Going back into her bag, she got out the ink well. Trying to keep it stable on the board while doodling was tricky, and came near spilling it on herself once or twice. Luckily balance came through, and when she was done with a sloppy looking picture much like the cover of a book she was reading, she capped the ink well and slid everything back in her bag. Sitting back down with a smile, she was ready for class.

Exitrith walked in behind Grace, who seemed to be in a daze. She looked around and ran her fingers through her hair nervously, and nodded at the teacher. Her eyes drifted around the room, and a tingle ran down her spine. the classroom was unusually dark, even if the windows were open. What a weird time to have a class, she thought, checking her watch. It plainly said, 8:01. She smiled and nodded at the teacher on passing, what was her name again? Professor... She decided to emit the thought. No one knew the professor's name in the first class. She smiled gently and wondered where everyone was. Were they all late? How weird.
Exxi sat in the closest seat, stifling a giggle when Grace did a faceplant on a pillow and picked herself up like nothing had happened. She smiled at Grace as the girl sat next to her, and swept her eyes around the room again. She candles burned softly, and the professor went and sat next to them, cross-legged. She wondered what they would be doing today, then realized that the board was in existence. Her gaze drifted to it, and she quickly read the first two parts. She removed a composition book and a black pen from her satchel, and quickly wrote down the definition of meditation and the information that followed. Then she doodled dragons, like she normally would. A large dragon with horns covered in hair instead of scales stared back at her from the page. She grinned at it, then leaned back. She was going to like Divination, she supposed.
Looking to her left, she realized that Grace had finished doodling but hadn't written a single note on her piece of parchment. She leaned over and said quietly, because the classroom felt like it should stay quiet, "Grace, you're supposed to copy down the definition of meditation, too." She patted her on the shoulder, smiling gently. Grace seemed to always be in her own little world. Maybe it was the time, and her parents were strict back at home or something and made her go to bed at 7:30.

Everyth waited a bit, listening to her students talking, when she opened one eye and noticed there were only two. She frowned, and looked at her roll. She had four students. Professor Giron narrowed her eyes and stood and walked over to the door. The hallway was empty. She turned back around to see that both the wonderful young ladies in her class were Ravenclaws, and therefore must be Grace and Exitrith. She pressed her lips together, thinking about what she could do, then said aloud, "there will be twenty points to Ravenclaw, for you two ladies being on time. Minus five points in Gryffindor and Hufflepuff, for your classmates." She nodded briskly and went back to the fire. "Since Kenny and Izabella are taking so long, we'll just start class without them. Now, which one of you are Grace?"
She didn't wait for an answer, and gazed at the younger one. The slight excited expression on her face told her that this girl was Grace. "Grace," she said, walking up to her and shaking her hand. "Can you tell me what your doodle depicts?" She smiled a bit, kindly and happily. A quick glance at her parchment revealed that she had drawn a strange picture of maybe a dragon? Her smile widened. Grace wasn't much of an artist, but pictures almost always depicted what was on your mind, no matter how abstract.

Kenny slowly opened the door knowing he was late but it wasn't his fault as he felt a little worn out from trying to find the class earlier. He was carrying his supplies on his back yet he was covering his left cheek which looked a bit red and black like a berry. Earlier on he was about to make it when he accidently tripped on his shoes causing him to fall hard on the ground. He looked at the the professor with a tear in his eye and looked humiliated for being late. He was not used to being late of course and felt like he wanted to cry. "S.S.Sorry i tried to find it" he said as he head to his seat after he saw what was on the board and then buried his face with his hands to keep from crying.

As Kenny sat next to her (as there was not much elsewhere to sit ) Exitrith felt that he was upset. She put a hand on his leg and kissed him on the cheek, hopefully to cheer him up. However, when Professor Giron picked on Grace, she giggled a bit. Grace was always very nervous about speaking to people, and therefore would probably stutter half the class.
She was also a bit upset at Professor Giron, since first of all she had made Kenny feel really bad. Second, she had taken house points away. Who held a class at night? And they were really high up in the school. She should have waited to let them come. But, you never got what you wanted in the real world. If this is Kenny's reaction, she thought, then what will Izabella's be? She frowned, and became lost in her own thoughts.

Grace was just starting to copy down the definition of meditation when the teacher asked her what her drawing was of. Her hand was more grabbed and shook since she kept it limp. She blinked with her mouth open as if someone just stepped out of a book she was reading. "I'm um ah oh uh the pa-pi-picture is uh oh of um OH Of uh yes uh..." She looked down and it took a second to say what it was of course, her mind wasn't really working very good being put on the spot. "Eeh uh Dra-gon." She sounded pathetic. It was like a kindergarten kid was speaking. "Fro-from a book I'm reading." Her face was probably red and she was avoiding the teacher's eye contact. It made her even more sweaty, so she tried looking at her forehead.

Kenny noticed that Exitrith was next to him as she kissed his cheek which made him a bit better but was still sad that the damage had been done for him. He then wrote down on his notebook the definition of meditation and any additional information without any trouble. Next he begin to doodle what appears to be one of his favorite animal which was the cat. He took his time and manage to finishing his doodle which looked a bit messy but was ok. He then turned to Exitrith and nodded at her with in way to say thanks.

Izabella rushed into the room and slightly stumbled in the dim lighting. "Way to be graceful Iz," she whispered to herself with a soft giggle. She looked around and peered into the dark room. It was a very small class which could be a good or a bad thing...
Iz smiled toward the professor and ran her fingers through her platinum locks. "So sorry for being late Professor Giron, I was misinformed that the class was possibly being canceled for the term." she apologized as she quickly took the open seat next to the only boy in class...
She quickly got to work taking down the notes in her cute, girlish writing and finally had a chance to take a breath and take in the enviroment. It felt very spooky almost, but for the class it felt perfect. Iz looked to the other three students noting two Ravenclaws and the Hufflepuff boy next to her...
After she was finished with the notes Iz realized after her eyes adjusted to the dimness that she was by far older then the other students. She sighed with a small frown. She didn't mind young years but it was just going to be a bit odd...
Izabella took up her quill again and began doodling in her notebook. It was a pretty odd request from a professor that they doodle but she didn't fully mind. She began to work on eyes, the eyes that could see into her soul. As she worked methodically on his eyes, Iz turned to the other three students, the Hufflepuff in particular since he was the closest. "Small class...anybody else late?" she said with a tiny giggle.

Everyth smiled gently at the stammering Grace, knowing that, if she pulled through, the girl's self-esteem and confidence around people would improve throughout the year. "Five house points to Ravenclaw for effort, Miss Agrippa." When Izabella entered the classroom, she tried her best to not make a big, negative deal about it. She looked at the two late students and thought for a moment about their excuses. "Yes, Izabella, Kenny was late, also. Fine, then, I'll give your house points back," she said, giving in to her kinder side. "Everyone makes mistakes, right?" She grinned, showing her white teeth. She had a small class, but they seemed to already be polite and wonderful. Then she turned to Kenny and Exitrith.
"And may I say one of the unspoken rules of my classroom: no PDA," she took a moment to allow her students to go blank. "Which means, no Public Displays of Affection, is that clear?" She nodded, and said, "I won't ask anyone else about their doodles, we need to get class moving. All I ask is that you give me your paper at the end of the day. Now, let's meditate. The first basic form of meditation is certainly not like so." She sat cross-legged on the floor and began 'ohm"-ing. She allowed her students to giggle, and stood back up. "No, certainly not. I would like you to all lie flat on your backs with your arms relaxed and also flat on the floor. Close your eyes and relax entirely - don't have a single tense muscle." She sat on one of the pillows by the candles again, cross-legged as she waited for her students to assume their positions.

Kenny felt like he already got on the bad side of the professor as she got on to him and Exitrith and now he was even more upset that he won't get to explain his doodle. Feeling defeated and sad, he slowly got out of his seat as a few tears were forming. Kenny slowly began to lie down and closed his eyes to relax just like the professor said. However, the tears from his left eye ended up rolling right to his nasty bruise which made it a little hard for him to realx because the teary waters hit the bruised area of his face making it sting a bit now and then while he was trying to do the meditation right but he did his very best not to scream in pain from the sting and concentrate on the relaxation.

Exitrith smiled. Professor Giron seemed pretty cool, she noted as she lay down on her back. It was hard relaxing all her muscles, she realized, as she tensed them up to feel what it was like to be relaxed. Soon she found herself feeling very warm, almost as if she was asleep but not. She was still conscious. She could try moving, but it took a lot of physical effort. She realized that it was very close to being asleep. She could will her arm to move one inch to the left, but it would just lay there. She closed her eyes - it was dark anyway. She heard Professor Giron's voice almost lull her.
Sooner or later, she wasn't sure of the time, she felt very refreshed and sat up quickly. Then realizing where she was she slowly lay back down and rubbed her arms. She felt warm all over, even though the room was cold and she had no blanket over her. Just like she had been asleep. How very strange, she thought. Had she successfully meditated, she wondered? She decided to wait it out.

Grace decided to lay on her back, and tried to clear her mind. It was difficult, since her mind was always buzzing. There had to be a slight noise in the room to focus on, a blank image to focus on, then she could find herself drifting away...
She tried to put a song in her head, and focused on the ceiling. It was some muggle song she had listened to. Grace had gotten more interested in Muggle music. It was in a different language, but it had a nice tune and all. Slowly, the music in her head faded away, but her eyes were wide open as if she was asleep. It was re-energizing. Much like how she'd be when trying to fall asleep. She barely blinked. They were half blinks.
Suddenly she got angsty. It was like she had so much energy now, she had to let it burst. Finally, she sat up, and started figiting. Her foot tapped, her fingers tapped to a song, she started a very subtle hum. She wanted to start singing a bit, but not while it was so silent. Even if she got points off, Grace just had to move now. It was a need. Her focus went to the candle. Fire fascinated her. It danced, twinkled, like it was alive. Slowly, she felt herself drifting off once again, staying solid like a corpse, her eyes as open as one.

Everyth noticed that her students went into a trance much like sleeping, and smiled with satisfaction. As she saw some of them jerk upwards, she knew she had done their job. What happened was that their brain had de-merged from their soul etcetera, and realized they were not asleep but almost entirely paralyzed. This caused them to shoot upright, panting as if they had had a bad dream, similar to the experience of when you're about to fall asleep, but you have the sensation you're truly falling; sometimes it was even an emotional need to move, as if you haven't been moving for too long.
She began to explain this to the class, then went on to explain how meditating should make you warm, like you had been lying under a blanket. Then she concluded by telling them what next class would be.
"Next time," she said, smiling ever so slightly, "we will go on to dreams, their importance, and how to interpret them." She then nodded once, "class is dismissed. Next class will be tomorrow, so we can continue without break."
