(((For information on meditation and whether your character may or may not have done it correctly, look in the Class One thread))) Everyth smiled as she ran her wand over the board, writing what today's class was. The last class had gone well, and most students had participated nicely, though she could tell by reactions that some of them hadn't participated correctly. But either way, they had tried their best, and she hoped that this class would be just as successful. She stepped back from the board, inspecting her handywork.
Good evening! Thank you for coming to class today.
The subject we will be discussing this evening will be dreams. Please write down the following notes, then doodle in your notebook or on your parchment.
The scientific definition of dream is, "A series of images, ideas, emotions, and sensations occurring involuntarily in the mind during certain stages of sleep." However, the 'psychic' definition is "a state of mind in which you delve into yourself involuntarily, or can see the future through."
You cannot have dreams by choice, and sometimes you even forget the dreams you have - it is only normal. Sometimes you can find things about yourself that you never knew, and sometimes even things you vaguely knew that you never put much thought into. Overall, dreams are an important part of society.
Everyth smiled and swept over to the door, opening it to let her students in. "Good evening," she chirped happily, as the small amount of children filed in."Like last class," she sang, "do what the board says, and when you are finished, merely put your notebook or piece of parchment down and wait for instructions." She loved how their little faces were filled with curiosity as they looked for what they were to be learning or doing today. She could almost hear their thoughts, without even looking into their minds. Are we going to dream? Huh? No, she wasn't going to make them sleep. You guys just wait, she said.
Today's lesson was considered one of the most boring lessons in the society of divination, because there would be less doing and more learning and abiding by instructions. She hoped it wouldn't discourage students to take Divination, because she loved their company and hated the fact the class was so small. Maybe Divination was considered "cheezy" or such here, or fake. If anything was fake, it was that "Future Planning" class, or whatever it was. It was not only boring - but trying to tell students what they should do when they grew up! Though Everyth could have needed some of that when she was younger, she didn't like it a bit.
It was time to learn about dreams.

Kenny slowly entered the classroom hoping he made it on time unlike last time when he was late by accident. As he entered he saw the professor and nervously smiled and wave hoping he won't get in trouble. "H Hello" he said as he walk to the board and looked at the board for todays notes. He then approached his desk and began to write down the notes for today. After taking his time writing down the notes he proceeded to work on the doodle hopefully he would get to explain it today.

Exitrith cheerily trotted in behind her boyfriend, grinning at the teacher. She took a seat on a pillow on the ground beside Kenny, who had chosen to work at a desk today. She brought out her notebook and opened it, copying down the notes and then doodling something she thought was supposed to look a bit like a niffler, but more like a mutated Yorkshire terrier. She shrugged it off and put her notebook aside, ready to move on in class.
Dreams? What could you possibly learn about dreams? Perhaps a certain thing in a dream meant something, she supposed was what that meant. She looked around the dark classroom. Would Professor Giron actually make them fall asleep in here and tell her what their dreams were? She smirked at that thought. She wouldn't mind falling asleep in the same room as Kenny, and she had no problem with Grace, since she already did that every day. But with Izabella and any other students that might show up today, it would be uncomfortable. She began to get excited about the idea nonetheless.
She leaned her head on Kenny's leg and closed her eyes. Professer Giron seemed to be making the class later and later in the night, even if it was the second class. Last class she had made them stay till nearly ten o' clock, and it was almost as if they had been sleeping. Meditation was nothing like she had imagined it. The strange thing was, it was almost a dreamless sleep. If they went to sleep for real in the classroom, she would never be able to fall asleep because of excitement. She sighed, feeling suddenly tired. Today had been a long day.

Lillian was very groggy indeed. She shuffled in quietly, and flopped down on the nearest pillow. Now, Lily was defiantly more of an early bird, so by now she'd either be in bed, heading to, or working on late night homework, not at all scarce. A late night class was all she needed. Yet, she had signed up and gotten herself into this, so it was only fair she went through.
Lily was stirred a bit at the professor's voice. Board? What board? Finally, Lily looked up to realize there actually was instruction! This tired feeling was putting a dampen on her spirit. Her eyes scanned the board quickly, missing a couple spots here and there.
The first thought that came in her head was sleeping. That was something she could use. Well, if they could even wake her back up again. Still, she copied down the notes with slow, loose handwriting. By the time she finished, it seemed like everyone was half done with their doodles. Oh well, being some crazy class that took place at night, she might collect the drawings for a grade or something.
With a new piece of parchment, she began a doodle. It started with the hair. Just wisps like air flowing around a face-like shape. The wind was blowing to Lily's right, and all that peered out on top of the hair were two, large eyes. If she had colored ink, they would be gray. Stormy gray, like the sky. The clouds were in different shapes, cloud on cloud, in a brewing storm on the horizon. The ground was ice, as if it was set in the arctic. However, she put no body on the head. For some reason, she felt it would look better without it. Right now, Lily wasn't in the mood for specifics.
When she was satisfied with this mystic scene, she held it up to a candle to get a bit better view. The ink on parchment plus the candle light made it look even more mystic. Just to give it an added feel, Lily dipped some of the edges into the candle flame for a burnt look. Now it seemed much more finished. With a smile, she rolled it up and placed it in front of her. Gradually, she fell back wards, hitting the soft floor with her head in a doze, much like meditation, to restore some of her energy and focus for class.
Grace strolled in, her eyes wide open as if she had woken up only a couple hours ago and was ready for another day. Like the average person, Grace was much more of a night owl. It didn't help much for when she was waking up, but for late nights it was just her cup of tea. Even though Grace wasn't fond of tea...
The instructions were just the same as last time, only with new notes. Grace wasn't suspecting any sleeping would be going on, even if it was a night class. That just didn't seem right. Plopping down, front and center, her bag made a thud that was only slightly muffled from the pillows. Grace remained un-phased by it, but she wasn't sure if the other students really minded.
Her notes were taken swiftly, just like her doodle. Tonight, Grace didn't feel like being 'picked on' and so stuck with a sketch of the candle near her. Something awfully simple, and easy to explain. Nothing too complex. Looking over her shoulder at a girl that was in the back, she noticed her taking her time, the quill moving slowly and delicately across the page. Not like Grace's, that's fot sure. She always pressed a bit hard.
Grace turned back around to look at the glowing board. It was interesting, and very eerie at the same time. The glow made her fidget, since she wasn't good at staying in one place for a long amount of time without anything to concentrate on.

Izabella quietly and delicately made her way into the dark and glowing room. Divination was becoming her most favorite class. She quickly found the open seat behind two younger girls, all were busy with their own doodles by now and Iz took a look at the glowing board and swiftly took down the notes...
As her quill danced across the page she recalled the first class. She felt a warm sensation in her chest. This class was the one she'd wanted to take for so long. She felt at peace the instant she stepped into it and as they had meditated for their first class she felt as if she was floating away in a sea of calmness and one with herself...
Once she was finished with the notes Izabella pulled out her parchement she had started last class. There was the beginnings of two large orbs and as she took in a deep breath of the glowing room her quill quickly got to work. She saw the eyes in her mind. So intense and now as she sat there in this room, they almost glowed in her memory...
Her hand worked delicately but with intense strokes as the eyes started to fill into the page, deep, deep pools of ink that with a few flicks of the wrist took solid form and stared up at her. Izabella took her free hand and grasped the beads around her neck and glanced again up at the board...
Dreams. Dreams were something very familiar and intriguing to her. She'd always been drawn to Dreams and of course those "Feelings" that she couldn't always explain. She felt the all too familiar warm burning sensation rush through her body as her hand clasped the crystal beads a bit tighter...
Iz looked back down at the two large, intense doe eyes. The eyes were staring back at her and she continued to work at them, almost as if in a trance as she couldn't break her view from them. Her hand turned to the sides and with quick, sharp flicks of the quill the eyes were dancing, rising up from a pool of rippling water...
As Izabella's hand flowed over the eyes, she finally found her mind becoming more concrete. Class would surely start now. She was ready to learn whatever she could about dreams tonight and she waited in silence as the eyes watched her.

Everyth smiled as she looked around at the sleepy yet happy-to-be-here faces. She saw Exitrith lay her head on Kenny's leg and resisted the temptation to shake her head, realizing that the lovebirds would never learn. As she watched everyone finishing up their doodles, she decided to pick on Izabella today. The girl had appeared on time, which was good. Last class, only half her students had showed up on time. She walked behind her desk and shuffled a few papers, containing the information on next class's lesson. She lay them down and cleared her throat. "Thank you everyone for coming on time," she said, "as you can see, today we're going to learn about dreams. I warn you , however - today may be very boring and," she laughed, "you may just fall asleep.
"No, that is not a hint that we will be sleeping in here today. By the end of the class you will all be wandering your way back to your dorms, ready for a good night's sleep. Now, to get the lesson started." Professor Giron walked back to the front of her desk and stood in clear view, the candle's lights flickering off her face, giving an eerie look to her. "By the end of this lesson, you will know what dreams are, what they mean, and what muggle scientists think they are. Then you will have your first homework for divination - a dream journal. You will write what you dream in it each morning after you wake up. However, if you happen to forget a dream, just put the date and, underneath, 'dream forgotten.' There will be seven entries." With a sweep of her wand, Everyth had erased the notes on the board, and there appeared a demonstration of what she had just said.
Professor Giron went and sat down on one of the pillows, directly across from Exitrith, who was gazing at her wide-eyed. "Izabella," she said, snapping her head in the student's direction. "Can you tell us what you drew today, and what it means to you?" She smiled and waited for her student's answer.

Izabella's mind was misty, almost in a dream like haze as the warmth of the room engulfed her and she looked down at the eye's she had drawn. It was almost as if they were pulling her in...
"Izabella..." the sound of her own name pulled her out of the misty trance. She looked up and saw Professor Giron staring at her. "Can you tell us what you drew today, and what it means to you?" she asked with a smile and Izabella straightened herself on her plush pillow...
"Oh what I drew...well I wasn't entirely sure what I would end up with it just sort of came to me and it ended up as a pair of eyes." Iz delicately picked up the parchment to show the small group the large, deep eyes emerging from a rippling pool of water...
"Eyes are windows to the soul of a person. If you can truly look into their eyes you can find who they are." she stated, her voice soft and delicate as it mixed with the calm atmosphere. "I'm not sure how the water fits in but I have always felt a connection with water and maybe because eyes are important the two just work together." she wasn't sure if she was explaining the way the Professor wanted but she was doing her best...
"They seemed almost real to me when I was drawing them, almost as if they could see me." Izabella knew that sounded crazy but she couldn't stop herself from explaining how she felt about the drawing.

Everyth nodded slowly as Izabella went on about her eyes. "Very interesting, and a wonderful explanation, five points to Gryffindor," Everyth announced. "Now, suppose these eyes were in a dream." She waved her wand, sweeping from Izabella to the board. The notes on the board disappeared, and Izabella's picture appeared. It seemed that water almost lapped up onto them. Everyth leaned against her desk, a little to the right, so her students could see it. "Izabella, let's assume these are your own eyes. To dream of your own eyes, it basically means that you have much intellectual knowledge and intelligence. If the water is in your eyes, it could foretell or even tell you that there is or will be an obstacle that is holding you back.
"This water that your eyes are in seems to be clear and clean, which basically means that you are in touch with your spirituality. You also seem to be underwater, but for your eyes, which seem to be grasping for something. Being underwater generally means that you are overwhelmed with emotions, but your eyes showing just above it symbolize that there is something more you want - something that you need to get that's outside of these emotions." She gazed around the room, breaking into a smile.
"This is all hypothetically speaking, of course. If this were a dream, it is what it would say. Of course," she winked at Izabella, "there is always a chance that this is what it would say. Now, let's move on." Everyth grabbed hand-bound notebooks and passed them out to everyone. They were assorted colors, and all from recycled muggle paper. She gave them to each wide-eyed child in her room, even going to the back to lightly hand it over to the new student.
"These are your dream journals," she announced. "Every morning when you first wake up, write in them what you dreamed. As I said before, if you forget the dream, just put it." She smiled and nodded. "If there are any questions, please tell me after class. You are all dismissed. Have a good night's sleep!" With a wink and a smile, she waved her students away.(((((Okay, guys this is how it will work. In the "Diaries" section or whatever, make a new thread called "________'s Dream Journal". Post seven entries that your character may have had a dream of, and you'll get a PM regarding what they mean!! * Twilight Zone Theme *
Anyway, "Dream forgotten" is allowed, but only ONE OR TWO!!!
Have fun!)))))
