Family History:
And it turned out like this when Celeste was born in America to two loving Vietnamese parents, with the surname Phuong, who were both pure blooded in terms of magical potency. Or something like that, anyways. Ever since she was young, she was taught the mystical arts of the Asiatic cultures from the balance of yin and yang, the lunar zodiac, and other talents involving the elements that surround the very foundations of Asiatic magic. So for the most part, she was home schooled until she was sent to Vietnam at the age of 10 to further her studies while her parents went on a trip to Europe.
Unfortunately, a tragedy struck leading to the death of her only family, making Celeste an orphan until the Evinrude family adopted her. The Evinrude family consisted a mother, a father, and a sister, who were pure bloods. Of course, the family really didn’t know what to make of Celeste’s talents since her style of magic is different altogether. Biggest clue? No wand. Just your average witch being able to understand and manipulate the mystical and elemental forces of chi and energy to a certain extent until it mostly freaked them out. Yeah, not your typical thing of turning mice into teacups, huh? Right. So Genevra, Celeste’s “older sister”, was inclined to the more practical forms of magic from Europe and went to study abroad. Who knew that Genevra became a Death Eater while she was gone?
The Evinrude family didn’t, that’s for sure. Devastated, the parents didn’t know why would their first-born daughter do such a thing and it was wonky timing when the Ministry of Magic finally figured that Celeste ought to be transferred to yet another family. Since the Evinrude family was already up to their necks in worries, it was for the best that the Vietnamese brunette got sent to a French family in Europe. Gee, you’d think that the girl would figure that Europe is one crazy continent after all she went through. Nonetheless, the Ministry of Magic was well aware that this poor child only got 2 years of proper schooling with magic in Vietnam before her original parents died and all her other years were spent through home schooling and self teaching.
Not recommended in this day and age when You Know Who was having a bomdiggety bonanza, killing people left and right with his homies. The Chantecler family, with a squib for a father, a muggle mother, and a “mud blood” older brother, was also aware of Celeste’s… Gifts, so the only thing that was a good idea at the time was to send the Asian to Hogwarts. Why? So that she would finally get the basics down and learn some European magic from one of the best schools in the world. You kinda need that kind of sorcery in this world nowadays. Especially when Antoine, her “older brother”, also decided to head out into the world and never appear again.
Yeah. That’s why Celeste is in Hogwarts. Because if there’s one place that’s safe and educational, it’s this school with all its glory. See? The Ministry of Magic DOES care for the children with different ethnic backgrounds! It took several mishappenings, torn families, and spent years, but in the end here she is! Ready for learning all the stuff she missed, meeting all the people who might become her friends, foes, or rivals, and quite possibly the chance of finding out what happened to her original parents, why Genevra went evil, and where did Antoine go.
So there you have it, her full name would actually be:
Celeste Phuong Evinrude Chantecler

[orange]Medical Records[/orange]:
House: Ravenclaw
Year: 1st
Allergies: N/A
Medical Problems: Occasional narcolepsy, slight iron deficiency
Previous Medical History: N/A
Other Notes?:
Due to Celeste's occasional narcolepsy, she might be found asleep here or there and sometimes mistaken as dead or unconscious. Her iron deficiency makes her liable to succumb to heat exhaustion once in a while. Her lack of medical history is due to the fact that her original parents consider that if there's one way to get better and stronger, it's to rely on one's own immune system and means of recovery instead of experts in the medical field. From there, Celeste tries to hide a few of these small problems of hers from her other parents so that she wouldn't become a bother to them. Otherwise, she is a rather capable and healthy individual.
[Extra Note]: She's more accustomed to Asiatic means of magical medication instead of European, but she's willing to learn about their properties mostly out of interest.
The Sorting: Becoming a Ravenclaw
(Who am I kidding. This is one heck of a sloppy bio. With old links to boot.)
